Home School Day Camp: Ages 8-12

Augment your child’s home schooling experience with a day spent out in the field, learning about natural and paleontological history with museum staff. Students will spend the morning hunting for fossils along the banks of Pipestone Creek, learning about how paleontologist interpret the evidence left by long ago animals. After a break for lunch, Students will spend the afternoon in the forest, learning about what the tracks and traces left behind by modern animals can tell us about their behavior and life patterns.
40.00$ per Student
The program will run from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, with pick up and drop off from the Pipestone Creek Park day use parking lot.
Students should bring a backpack, lunch, pencil and notebook, hat, sunglasses, hand sanitizer, waterproof jacket, warm layers, closed toe footwear (ideally hiking boots), at least 1L of water, any emergency medications (i.e. EpiPen, Insulin, etc.) prescribed by their doctor.
Participants will be required to wear masks and adhere to social distancing practices.
