This week’s program is an art workshop. For more information visit our summer programs page.
The roots of printmaking start with the primitive notion of footprints and have evolved through the history of art making into a complex and exciting medium. Students can learn to draw or design a dinosaur or dinosaur fossilized footprint to be carved into a block to make multiple prints. Intaglio Printmaking (Relief carving) onto simple block forms is a great introduction into reproduction printing of a dinosaur or fossil image.
Sample artwork is shown below.
Children must be 7 years old this calendar year to participate in this program.
Preregistration is encouraged. Drop in may not be available. To register visit out summer programs page https://dinomuseum.ca/programs/summer-programs/
