Friday, April 12 • 6:30pm
Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum, Alliance Pipeline Education Wing
Try your hand at drawing Trilobites or other prehistoric fossils using conte or chalk pastels.
Learn how to draw from basic shapes and lines while observing from actual fossils (real or casts). You will be guided with warm up drawing exercises and step-by-step breakdown of the fossils, then leash the fossilized critter by finishing by shading and highlighting with conte or chalk pastels. Learn how to work with the tools to create fossil textures.
Sit back at the end of the art session to look at your creations over a glass of wine and have a leisurely discussion on the process of art making or a good laugh at our efforts! Life and art shouldn’t be so serious. No experience necessary! All supplies included. This is a vino happy atmosphere so this event is 18+
