DIRTY POUR PAINTING – SOLD OUT!

Cost:$50 (includes a glass of wine)

Wear your worst clothes or coveralls and join us for a dirty night of paint pouring! Amber will guide you through the process of creating your own unique masterpiece to take home(in a tray as it will still be wet). All supplies and materials are included.

This is a wine and torch friendly atmosphere and will be ages 18+

Amber Propp has been paint pouring for several years. She loves to share her work with the community and teach classes. She always loves trying new techniques in her art. “The thing I love the most about paint pouring is you will never have the same painting twice. Your piece will always be one of a kind.” She was a contestant in the First Art Battle in Grande Prairie in 2018, and will have a show at The Centre of Creative Arts in March, 2019. The Dress

Join us for a night where nature meets art. Bring your good tweezers and let Janice bring the rest as she guides you in creating “The Dress”.

Janice Lutsenko’s flower art blends her joy of gardening and love of flowers. Her home garden not only supplies the material for her work but also aids in the inspiration of her pictures. Janice does traditional pressed designs with a passionate eye for detail but is best known for her whimsical country scenes: wild gardens, falling fences, and her trademark quilt pictures. Janice worked for five years as a florist in Vancouver and has a Liberal Arts degree from Simon Fraser University in Burnaby, BC> Janice pursues this rewarding old art form full time and has a studio in her home. FOSSILIZED FUN

Cost:TBA

Try your hand at drawing Trilobites or other prehistoric fossils using conte or chalk pastels.

Learn how to draw from basic shapes and lines while observing from actual fossils (real or casts). You will be guided with warm up drawing exercises and step-by-step breakdown of the fossils, then leash the fossilized critter by finishing by shading and highlighting with conte or chalk pastels. Learn how to work with the tools to create fossil textures.

Sit back at the end of the art session to look at your creations over a glass of wine and have a leisurely discussion on the process of art making or a good laugh at our efforts! Life and art shouldn’t be so serious. No experience necessary! All supplies included. This is a vino happy atmosphere so this event is 18+

Lynn is a practicing artist and art educator. She has a Bachelor of Education degree and has been teaching art for over 30 years in public schools, privately and in community programs. Lynn enjoys teaching others how to unleash their artistic and creative side and she believes the arts are wellness. She is currently the Education Coordinator of the Red Deer Museum + Art Gallery.
