HOMESCHOOL DAYS

Homeschooling families are invited to join us for Homeschool Days during the 20223-2024 school year. Homeschool Days are mini science-type fossil and dinosaur fairs set up throughout the museum, specifically for homeschooling families. School aged children can visit learning stations focused on dinosaurs, fossil formation, palaeobiology, palaeoecology, evolution, and the scientific method of discovery.

Participation in Homeschool Days is for school aged children; however, younger children can register and receive a “Passport Through Time” as well. This is not a drop off program, parents are required to stay with children under 10 years of age.

Schedule:

10:30-12pm – Exploration of Dinosaur and Fossil Learning stations in the gallery. Students will be given “Passports Through Time” to complete as they move through the learning stations.

12-1pm – Lunch Break. Families can bring lunch in and eat inside the museum or purchase food from the onsite restaurant (Cafe on 43).

1-3pm – CSI (Crime Scene Investigation). Students will get the chance to solve a Dinosaur Case Study, applying the scientific method of discovery to their investigation and sharing their theory.
