Take a bite out of what the museum has to offer in this Tyranno-riffic camp! We’ll discover prehistoric wonders as we explore the galleries, learn about our dinosaurs, and even handle real fossils! Enjoy the great outdoors as we play games, safari through nature, and discover what Alberta was like 70 million years ago. We’ll also play paleontologist as we create our own fossil casts to take home!

Jurassic Journey

ages 7 – 11

Journey back in time to when dinosaurs ruled the world! In this voyage through time, we’ll find out what it’s like to be a real life paleontologist and examine actual dinosaur fossils. We’ll also journey through Alberta’s prehistoric past on trips to Kleskun Hills and Pipestone Creek to see what kind of Mesozoic mysteries we can discover!

Junior Palaeontologist

ages 8 – 13

Looking to get even deeper into the world of dinosaurs? Our Junior Palaeontologist camp is perfect for kids who are serious about science and would like to study dinosaurs themselves one day. We’ll study the lives of these amazing animals, learn the techniques used by real museum scientists, and visit local fossil sites to see excavations in progress. This camp is an ideal option for kids who have previously been through our Jurassic Journey camp before and can’t get enough dinosaurs.

Mesozoic Masters

ages 8 – 16

Dates: July 23 – 27
Times: (half-day) 1:00am – 3:00pm
Cost: $75

While scientists are the people who study and uncover the secrets of the past, artists bring the facts to life for everyone to see. The field of palaeo-art has never been bigger than now, and behind the headlines of every new discovery is a talented artist. We’ll explore the techniques used by legendary palaeo-artists to accurately flesh-out the ancient world and practise our skills at recreating the prehistoric Peace Region.
