THE NESTING GROUNDS
Prehistorically, the Nesting Grounds were the place dinosaurs, like the Maiasaura, choose to to lay their eggs. These grounds gave their little ones the greatest chance of survival as the Nesting Grounds were usually protected and provided ample food once the little dinosaurs hatched.
Parents and tots (8 months – 5 years old) are invited to the Museum for a morning of dino-themed crafts, games, songs, and stories. The Nesting Grounds run over the winter every 2nd Wednesday starting October 2nd, from 10:30 – 11:30 am. Enjoy 1 hour of dino-themed programming and 30 min of social time with other parents/guardians after the program (until noon).
If your little one loves dinosaurs then our museum is the place to be to spark their wonder and curiosity!
This is a pre-registered program. Pre-registration closes 24 hours before program starts. Children 0-7 months old are free with an older sibling registered in the program. If you missed pre-registration, you can call visitor services at 587-771-0662 to see if we have space. Space limited to 20 children.
