THE NESTING GROUNDS

Prehistorically, the Nesting Grounds were the place dinosaurs, like the Maiasaura, choose to to lay their eggs. These grounds gave their little ones the greatest chance of survival as the Nesting Grounds were usually protected and provided ample food once the little dinosaurs hatched.

The Nesting Grounds run over the winter every 2nd Wednesday, from 10:30 – 11:30 am. Parents are welcome to stay after programming ends to visit and explore the Museum with their little ones (Museum is closed to the public). Parents and tots (0-5 years old) are invited to the Museum for a morning of dino-themed crafts, games, songs, and stories. If your little one loves dinosaurs then our museum is the place to be to spark their wonder and curiosity.

Pre-registration closes 24 hours before program starts. We have drop in spots available if you missed the pre-registering your littles ones. Children 0-7 months old are free with an older sibling registered in the program. Space limited to 15 children.
