Celebrate your local museums!

International Museum Day

Falling on our semi-annual Community Day, the museum will be partnering with the Grande Prairie Museum and the Heritage Discovery Centre to bring you a full day of engaging educational fun, free of charge!

In addition to free admission to all three museums, the event will include a collectible passport for International Museum Day, craft stations, scavenger hunts, and other hands-on activities, as well as free busing between all three institutions courtesy of Grande Prairie Transit and our dino bus.

There are two bus routes, one starting here at the PJCDM and other starting at the Heritage Discover Centre, and will go between all three museums throughout the day (see the a full schedules below or in the IMD passport available at all three museums).

Please note that due to the volume of visitors expected, the museum’s Dine-O-Saur restaurant will have a limited menu available, and will be open until 6:00pm.

Collect a stamp from each museum and you can enter to win a draw for a gift basket including cool dino swag!

*Please note that, while access to our galleries will be free of charge on this day, movies in the Aykroyd Family Theatre will cost $2 per person, and prices at the gift shop and restaurant are as usual.
