A Camp 73 Million Years in the Making...

This adventure begins where the ancient world still whispers beneath your feet.

The Triassic Teens Dino Camp is more than just a summer camp,  it’s a 4 day, 4 night expedition into the heart of prehistoric northern Alberta.

Designed for teens ages 12 to 17 with a passion for dinosaurs, fossils, geology, and discovery, this immersive overnight experience takes campers beyond the museum walls and into the landscape once ruled by giants.

Campers will explore the rugged terrain of this area and investigate active fossil-rich sites like the Pipestone Creek bonebed - the home of Big Sam, the world famous Pachyrhinosaurs lakustai fossil discovered in 2023 and featured in BBC's Walking with Dinosaurs.

Imagine... walking the same ground dinosaurs roamed over 73 million years ago!

But this isn’t an ordinary science camp…

Campers will:

  • Explore real palaeontology and earth science alongside the museum's professional palaeo team
  • Venture into the field on amazing excursions
  • Discover fossils and ancient ecosystems
  • Experience hands-on science and outdoor adventure
  • Stay overnight in at the unforgettable Pipestone Creek
  • Build friendships with fellow dino enthusiasts from across the country

From cool misty mornings in the Alberta wilderness to blazing summer afternoons in the bonebeds, every moment is packed with excitement, discovery, and adventure.

This is the ultimate experience for any teens who have ever dreamed of becoming a palaeontologist, explorer, or fossil hunter.

Some camps teach science... this one drops you into prehistory.
