Join us as we celebrate the regions amazing natural history with PALAEO PALOOZA at the Philip J. Currie Dinosaur Museum! There is fun for the whole family with guest palaeontology speakers, fossils, science activities, games, and of course… fun!

Our much anticipated Palaeo and Science festival is returning for its 3rd year! Mark your calendars for August 12 & 13th2023 and watch our social media accounts for updates. We are so excited to share our love of science with the community and can’t wait to have you join us for this 3-day fossil festival. The fossil festival opens Saturday and Sunday at 10am with a family fun indoor/outdoor festival with carnival games, food trucks, bouncy castles, palaeontology talks, panels, loads of fossils, and dino-themed activities.

We’ve got an exciting line up for talks and panels from a palaeontologist. Talks are free with admission. See our Speaker Schedule below. Talks and panels are for all ages and are generally between 30-60 min. Talks are held in the theatre.
Palaeo Palooza Activities:
We have a full day of activities for all ages and all fossils and dino-enthusiasts, including a pancake breakfast from 10-11 am each day and a BBQ from 12-4 pm each day. From palaeontology talks to dino-themed crafts and games… we guarantee loads of fun for all! Make sure to check out our gift shop and our new Dinosaurs Among Us exhibit.
