THE NESTING GROUNDS

Parents and tots (0-5 years old) are invited to the museum for a morning of dino-themed crafts, games, songs and stories. If your little one loves dinosaurs, the museum is the place to be to spark their wonder and curiosity! The Nesting Grounds runs every second Wednesday starting November 22 from 10:30-11:30am. Parents are welcome to stay after programming ends to visit and explore the museum with their little ones (museum is closed to the public).

Prehistorically, the Nesting Grounds were the place dinosaurs, like the Maiasaura, choose to to lay their eggs and give their little ones the greatest chance of survival. The Nesting Grounds were usually protected and provided ample food once the little dinosaurs hatched.
